Deepika Padukone Back In Goa To Shoot For Shakun Batra's Film Days After NCB Questioning
Deepika Padukone, who had flown down to Mumbai as she received a summon from NCB, has returned to Goa to begin shooting for Shakun Batra's next film
For the past few days, Deepika Padukone remained in the news but for all the wrong reasons. She was summoned by the Narcotics Control Bureau for questioning in a drugs case. NCB appeared to be neck-deep in busting the alleged drugs nexus of Bollywood. Apart from Deepika, Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor were also summoned. Deepika Padukone was in Goa when she received a call from NCB, and she had to fly down for the probe. Her husband Ranveer Singh had zoomed off to Goa to be by her side and the duo returned to Mumbai together. Now, as per the latest reports, the actress is back in Goa and resumed shooting.
As per a report in Mid-day, Deepika is back on the sets of Shakun Batra's upcoming film that also stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday. A source revealed, "Deepika was in good spirits as she joined the unit last Thursday. Since there had been a 10-day-plus break, Shakun wanted her to ease into the process. She shot a light-hearted scene with Siddhant and Ananya." Reportedly, the film is about four friends who go on a road trip.
While Deepika was in Mumbai, the director is said to have shot scenes featuring Siddhant and Ananya. The shooting of the film resumed in the month of September after a break of a few months due to the lockdown imposed post the outbreak of Coronavirus. The film is being produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions.
